PEAR_Common::validPackageName()

PEAR_Common::validPackageName() -- Test whether a string is a valid package name

Synopsis

require_once 'PEAR/common.php';

bool PEAR_Common::validPackageName (string $name)

Description

Test whether a string contains a valid package name.

Parameter

string $name: the package name to test

Return value

bool - Returns TRUE on success, FALSE on failure.

Note

This function can not be called statically.
